Bob Mantovani

Bob Mantovani has been in the financial services industry for 18 years after working for 11 years as Technical Support Manager for a local, Muskegon manufacturing company. Prior to moving to Muskegon in 1984, Bob and his family lived in the Cleveland area where he worked for two companies as a computer programmer and manager. He started as a registered representative at FSC Securities in Muskegon in 1996 and became affiliated with the LPL Financial brokerage firm in 1998 with Gary Samek. In 1999, Bob earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. He has been an adjunct in the Finance department at Davenport University for ten years, teaching undergraduate courses such as Financial Analysis, Behavioral Finance, Financial Planning and Life Insurance, Retirement Plans and Employee Benefits, Real Estate Finance, and Estate Planning as well as MBA courses such as Money and Capital Markets, Derivatives and Risk Management, and Investment Management.

Bob uses a financial planning approach with his clients and helps them develop their financial goals. He believes that "the investing process is not a goal in itself. It should just be a means for achieving client objectives."

Bob graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance at Davenport University. Bob lives in Norton Shores with his wife, Barb, and they have two sons living in Michigan and another serving in the United States Air Force. Bob’s outside interests include teaching finance courses, astronomy, and visiting his grand children.
